Running in Dreams - Escaping the Shadow or Pursuing a Goal

Running represents the mechanics of avoidance or pursuit. If you are running away from a monster or an unknown attacker, you are fleeing from your own Shadow—the unacknowledged, frightening parts of your psyche. The harder you run, the stronger the Shadow becomes. Running toward a destination, however, reflects determination, life momentum, and the conscious pursuit of your goals.
